Toy Hackery follows the connections between toys, their mechanisms, their history and the act of making.

This companion collects the explanations and references behind reviewed episodes. It is starting small: the channel is the place to check for current public videos.

Follow a claim to its source

Episode notes distinguish verified facts, interpretations and unresolved questions. A claim’s source link includes the page, figure or timecode used, what it supports and when it was checked. A working link alone is not verification.

See what you’re looking at

Drawings, animations and reconstructions are identified as illustrations. They are not presented as historical footage or evidence that a physical toy has been tested.

Read the credit before reusing

Credits and rights notes describe the specific material and its use. Public access is not a blanket license. Third-party material remains subject to its own rights and restrictions.

Room for corrections

Stable episode, source and claim links make a detail easy to identify. Note the record ID and exact passage when raising a correction through the channel’s available public discussion tools. No response time is promised.
